Umer Pinto, another long time student who started his Ashihara career in the nineties in action with an airshield striking pad held by Yudansha Francious Williams, another 20 year+ student at the Ashihara Karate Kokusai Honbu dojo. Umer was in a bus accident and had spinal re-fusion, so generally has to take it easy. With the Air Shield striking pad, he has no bounce back effect which makes it safer for him to give it a go.
