In 1996, Kaicho Hoosain Narker, headmaster of Ashihara Karate visited the Seychelles and after several interviews by Keng Ee, reporter for the Seychelles Nation & Egbert Moustache, Ashihara Karate branch representative for Seychelles, where he had mentioned this prowess, he was asked whether he would do it here and he then demonstrated for the very first time the power of the Mind over the Body by allowing an “Ambulance” to drive over his stomach.

Ashihara Karate International’s 30th Anniversary Sabaki Challenge World Cup held in Cape Town, South Africa in October 2010. Seychelles Ashihara Karate had for several years sent teams to the International Sabaki Championships held in Cape Town.
